US military sales to India went from zero to $15 billion in the last 10 years and the United States hopes to get a major share in the $30 billion India plans to spend in military modernisation over the next seven years.Here are the Top five weapon India wish to purchase from US.
V 22 Osprey
The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is an American built multi-mission tilt rotor military aircraft.It is designed to perform both vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities.It can cruise at a speed of 450 km/hr and can achieve a maximum speed of 565 km/hr.It can carry an internal payload of 9,000 kg or an external payload of 6,800 kg.It has a un-refueled range of 700km/hr and has a ferry range of 3600 km with auxiliary internal fuel tanks.It has a crew of 4 and can carry 24 troops in the regular seated configuration and a maximum of 32 in maximum density configuration.
India has plan to build four Landing Platform Docks,Each of 40,000 ton.V-22 Osprey will be a good option for India.This aircraft can be used on Navy aircraft carriers, Amphibious assault ships, Landing Platform Docks and Independence class LCS.It can play an important role in carrying out special forces operations too.

Predator C Avenger Unmanned Aircraft System
Predator C Avenger is a next generation, multi-mission, jet-powered unmanned aircraft system (UAS) designed and manufactured by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) to provide expanded quick-response and enhanced combat capabilities. It has a internal payload of 1,588kg and total payload capacities 2,948kg respectively.It has a fuel carrying capacity is 3,583kg. It has a six external wing hard points which can carry anti-tank missiles,Small Diameter Bomb, and laser guided bombs.It can also armed with anti radiation missile depending upon mission profile
